Yarrambat Adult Riding Club

YARC offers members a friendly and supportive environment to enjoy their riding and improve their skills.

Welcome To Yarrambat Adult Riding Club

…Giddy up!

Yarrambat ARC (YARC) is located approx. 25km  North East of Melbourne’s CBD, in the shire of Nillumbik.

YARC was formed in 1991 with membership usually capped at approx. 80 per year.  YARC shares the clubhouse and grounds with Yarrambat Horse & Pony Club. YARC caters for all riders from social riders who wish to improve their riding and general horsemanship skills to those who compete at a high level or on a regular basis.

Our club colours are navy blue, red and white for HRCAV competitions.

We cater to all levels of riders across many disciplines, including dressage, show jumping, cross-country, general horsemanship and specialist clinics.

Rallies

Our rallies are held on the second Saturday of every month (except January). Our wonderful grounds are shared with the Yarrambat Pony Club and include two large sand arenas, one enclosed sand arena, plus a fabulous cross-country course.

YARC TTT Combined Training – 21 April 2024

The TTT Combined Training event was held at the YARC/YHPC grounds on 21 April 2024, and we thank all the organizers, sponsors, and volunteers for helping us with a successful day.

Congratulations to all competitors!

The Whittlesea Horse and Pony Club held their combined training day on the 30th of April.

The club’s great hospitality and large turn out from competitors made it a great day out.

YARC member Christopher Malacchini Oates competed with his horse Bubbles, coming away with fourth place in Open Level 5

We recently held the Yarrambat Horse and Pony Club Horse Trials on our grounds, and we were excited for all competitors to experience our gorgeous facilities, particularly our extensive cross country course. Congratulations to all that participated, and a massive thank you to everyone that helped to make this event happen

James Pettigrew and Pogo took on the Level 2 Open and came away with second place. James was particularly happy with how Pogo handled a challenging and technical cross country course, and their dressage test was none too shabby either. Although the pair feel like more show jumping work is on the cards before their next competition, they should be very pleased with their result indeed.

One of our newer members, Christopher Oates, got out and about in the Level 5 Open with his horse Bubbles. Although he had a refusal on cross country, Bubbles went over with a little bit of voice and leg in the end, and we are excited to watch the development of this super combination in the future.

Kaitlin Boddy and All Over Da Place also competed in the Level 5 Open and placed 5th in a very competitive group. Well done to Kaitlin and All Over Da Place, and looking forward to seeing this combination out and about this year.

YARC members, both new and old, get out and about in our club colours! Tiahn Bernard represented the club at the Yackandandah Showjumping Championships in early 2023 in the Advanced 115 class and came away with Champion. Congratulations to Tiahn and mum/groom Laureen on their success and here’s hoping for lots more!
