The YARC Committee have approved our first working bee for the year.
It will be held after rally on Saturday 29th January (around midday) and Sunday 30th January from 9 am
All members are required to commit 4 hours to this working bee as a requirement of your membership. You are only required to attend one of the above dates for this half of the year.
Any member who can not attend either of these dates can complete their working bee duties before hand as there are quite a few people still on holidays.
Any member completing their duty before the above dates are required to photograph the duty once completed and send a message to Louise Barry (Obligation Coordinator) via the YARC Facebook page with hours completed and your full name (as some members don’t use their name on Facebook) so this may be recorded.
This working bee focus is to get the dressage arena’s ready for the new year.
There is still some whipper snipping and mowing to be completed. Members will need to bring their own tools /machinery. These members will be tasked by Wayne or myself
For everyone else hand weeding we will start on the main dressage arena. Please bring feed bags with you. Once the bags are full you can place them in the old trotters yards so the tractor can take them out to the burn pile. On the above dates the bags can be left on the edge of the arena’s for tractor pickup.
At this stage it has been too late to spray the weeds as they have already started to brown off and are dying. Wayne is canvassing a more sustainable method of weeding for the future.
The YARC Committee thank everyone in advance for your assistance. It takes every member to keep the grounds in a safe and working order.
Our registered Covid Safe Plan is that all members are required to be vaccinated to attend the above organised event. Members who are not yet vaccinated can attend and complete their duties in their own time before hand.
Maintain 1.5 metre distance outdoors so masks don’t need to be worn (at this stage)
Sanitizer is available in clubrooms.
Please do not share your equipment unless cleaned thoroughly
QR code to be scanned on arrival
